Hi all,
My AVG detected ANCA.dll under \program files\ThinkPad\ConnectUtilities\ as a virus. But it was only TODAY that it scanned and noted it. I run the scan everyday but this is the first time it has been flagged. Anyone has any ideas if it is a Positive?
I've already moved the affected file to the virus vault for now. For safety.
On top of that, would anyone know how to deal with the problem I stated in http://sgforums.com/forums/2250/topics/314617 ?
try uploading to either of the following sites:
Hmm AVG has automatically stored it in the Virus Vault. So I take it out?

If you are still scared, yup, no problem at all. Just upload it and you will get your results within minutes.
Rest assured.
Anca.dll is not a virus. nor malware, nor spyware or wadever sort of harmful strain of code
It's part of IBM Access Connections 's software. All thinkpads have it. Lenovo's not too sure. (those which run the IBM access connections should have)
to assure you even more.

Partially correct. Some viruses are known to hide their strains in reputable programmes

agree.
virus writers usually unleash their payload in the important files like system files and antivirus programs.
