PSW.generic4.bqc - how to remove?

  Hi all, have been having problems with this Trojan: PSW.generic4.bqc

  Cant find much information online. It appeared in my thumbdrive. I had copied a folder from my hdd to it, went to another desktop to see if the files work, and plugged into my thumbdrive again to use it. When I tried using the drive, the trojan was detected by AVG.

  How do I remove the trojan? AVG only deletes the file and moves into the vault. Is the problem from my computer?

  Any help would be appreciated!!!

  most probably from the desktop.

  2 Possible places.

  Your Desktop, Thumb drive.

  Go to your First desktop, (the one that u transferred the file from)

  Follow the instructions and reply 
  
  Credits to anty.

  [*]Please download the latest copy of HijackThis from Trend Micro and save it to your desktop.
  [*]Double click on HJTInstall.exe to install it. Click on Install. By default, it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis.
  [*]Read through the License Agreement presented to you on the next screen and click on I Accept.
  [*]Once installed, HijackThis will start automatically. If it doesn't, please go to your desktop and double click on the HijackThis shortcut created there.
  [*]Select Do a system scan and save a logfile.
  [*]Close HijackThis.

  Note: Do not click on the AnalyzeThis button.
  
  Do not fix any lines you see in HijackThis as most entries are harmless and needed for the normal functioning of Windows.

  Kindly upload the log file to Mediafire. Due to security issues, some letters and backslashes are truncated.

  I hate thumbdrive viruses.

  If using XP...

  • Please download Deckard's System Scanner from Tech Support Forum and save it to your desktop. Note: You must be logged onto an account with administrator privileges.
  • Save all your work and close all opened programs.
  • Double click on dss.exe to run it. Follow the prompts.
  • When the scan is complete, two log files will be produced. The first one, main.txt, will be maximized, the second one, extra.txt, will be minimized.
  • Please upload the 2 files to Mediafire.

  If using Vista...

  • Please download Deckard's System Scanner from Tech Support Forum and save it to your desktop. Note: You must be logged onto an account with administrator privileges.
  • Save all your work and close all opened programs.
  • Right click on dss.exe and select Run As Administrator to run it. Follow the prompts.
  • When the scan is complete, two log files will be produced. The first one, main.txt, will be maximized, the second one, extra.txt, will be minimized.
  • Please upload the 2 files to Mediafire.
