STARIS catastrophe

  Hello.This is where you post trains where STARIS system is  wrong and what in the world had happened.

  e.g:(this is what I experienced,mind you.)

  Once I took 037/038 on EWL and when it went to Lakeside(it was okay until the moment where it went wrong) STARIS map and VFD showed "Next station EW25 Chinese Garden." I got off at Lakeside and it showed "EW25 Chinese Garden." Tsk, should have stayed on the train to Boon Lay just to look at it.Haha.

  this is common. it happens when the door has closed to proceed to next station & the maps does not flash the next station

  Most hang aft Dover Stn.

  Once VFD show "EW22 Dover"  ">>> Doors Open >>>"  when train is towards Chinese Gdns

  Once light still flashing at Clementi when train reaching Chinese Gdns/Lakeside then auto correct aft leaving

  Once one door light still flashing at Clementi, one door light flashing at Lakeside when train arriving at Boon Lay

  Once VFD & light are one station behind the current station

  So with everyone's experience on STARIS pros and cons, do you think that it is a failure system and do you think should that be removed?

  033/034 is now very faulty

  i dun think so coz i board that on EWL just now

  STARIS pretty fine from kembangan to boon lay

  As long as it has problems in any MRT station, that train is one which has problems. smrt3099 must give proof that 033/034's STARIS is very faulty.

  Yesterday i rode 033/034 from Tampines to Lakeside, i was in 2034, the 3034 and 1034 staris not on while other cabins is on.. but faulty..

  this was on cabin 2034:

  • Tampines to Bedok - 3 doors map indicator off while others working but wrong info
  • Bedok to Paya Lebar - 3 doors that i mention its on, but lit at Paya Leber, the 2 cabis still off..
  • Paya Lebar to Lavender - 1 VFD off, others shows scrolling "EW22 Dover" with got a japanese-like sign
  • Lavender to Redhill - one of the doors indicator map working properly, others not
  • Redhill to Dover - at Dover, VFD shows "EW22 Dover" bot not ">>>>Doors open>>>>", all map indicator flashing "This Side", still the 2 cabin not on.
  • Dover to Lakeside - VFD shows "welcome onboard SMRT" and "For the convinence of all passengers, Please move towards the centre of the car"

  Still the 2 cabins Staris not on.
