Hi all!
I'm sure that the PSDs would be great to the safety of people on the platforms.
But, i would like to its question strength.
It seems to me that it is built quite near the edge, would it actually drop after long usage?
For stations with platforms on both sides, like Jurong East NSL, it might be even worse.
As you know, the trains function on 3rd-rail, so this means that the weight for one side of the platform would be shared by the 3rd-rail and also the PSDs.
The 3rd-rail at JE station is hanging.
I'm not sure about EWL coz i cant see it beneath.
No flaming if i said anything wrong... Thx.

I don't think the PSDs will fall since the support is strong and SMRT maintains it very well.
Oh yea, for Jurong East the 3rd rail is like the others, it's being supported on the ground.
OT: PSD at TPY is kinda problematic now... it has to repeat the process for 6 time before train departs
Pls continue posting on an existing thread. Thanks.
