1.5m PSDs in MRT stations

  Today as I take a ride towards the city from Yishun I notice that there were some things unusual and when to take a look and notice the flooring was changed. I believe that PSDs (Platform Screen Doors) installation is currently on progess. What your views? Is there a sneak preview on what is the design on the PSDs?

  I heard that they have to complete Yishun PSDs by Q4' 2009.

  Pasir Ris, Yishun and Jurong East were given piority to install PSDs (correct me if I am wrong)

  Yea. The places where the new flooring is are made of metal (you can hear the sound by stepping on it).

  Btw is the project paid by LTA or SMRT?

  Dont know. Anyway I'll go to YIS everyday if possible, I live there. XD

  Pratically the entire south bound platform as of today had tt yellow thing, when i step on it, it feel kind of wood, hollow ....

  It's made of steel. It's just covered by bands of yellow sticker. The black part is pure metal.

  Best is to set up metal poles instead of flooring.....

  No one seems to care about the flooring...during peak hours....

  Btw, there was a note that TOs had to enter JE with CM mode. Thought i had taken a photo but apparently i didn't.
