Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum. I'm a second generation PR. I'll be going for NS in a couple of months. I do no have a place to stay in Singapore. Will it be possible for me to stay in the bunker during the weekends?

hahahaha
Okay seriously, I still haven't seen an answer to this question. There are matters of bunk-less camps and the meals which must be indented, and whether indenting meals = punishment for not consuming them.
Sorry alize i'm not following you here!

Well I think u can ask LRooke, he just enlisted recently and having the same problem as you.
Yes you can. Need to highlight this to your officer when you enlist. Cos base on your allowance, you will not be able to afford to rent any kind of rooms outside.
Thank you rednano, tarutaru and deathmaster.
Negotiate with your encik(warrant officer)... guard duties for bunk in and food.

Yes, yes you can. Just raise the issue to your PC, and he'll make the arrangements.
woah, u think there is hotel?
theres a chalet within the army base compound.some with swimming pool and jacuzzi if u lucky.some come with golf course range and country club even.one or 2 chiobus too werking in civilian country club.
if theres none....then buy a tent n pitch it outside next to your commanding officers office .

Not just that. Free food, free gym, endless canteen break, and can walk around in Civi if you want.
of course when i was first posted to army camp and i requested to stay in due to long distance from home..the officer in charge refused to help.
so everyday for many years,i had to wake up at 5am and be at mrt by 5:20am or be late and get charged.

Are you sure about this? I've heard that you have to go for guard duty during the weekends. How has been your NS experience?

Since he's already replied you, sure can lah. Wkend guard duty is rotated lah. Now NS is simple as ABC.
Btw, I wonder what LRooke do during wkend in Tekong, I mean there's no shop etc...
