There was a thread on this, but the thread has expired, thus i couldn't post the new update there.
Anyway, the roadside bus terminal has been fully build, just waiting for commencement of operation.
The first roadside bus terminal in years.
There is a total of 3 bus bays, as stated in the earlier newspaper reports
The container office doesn't seem to contain a toilet though
Anyway, looks like another no boarding and alighting terminal.
There are rumors on the new bus route serving this terminal...but i certainly hope it won't be a Regional route (serve Jurong area only)
the earlier thread is here
new service to city area? or bus number 30 stop here? it seeems only for one bus service. 3 bus bays. or for PTE company operation?
Svc 49:Hu Ching-JR WEST ST 42
My old house is on the left empty land there,Blk 144 Hu Ching Rd
Already private bus and lorry park there taking advantage
Actually if they add a lot more can introduce one more svc too,How come is 49 not 152?Slbp doesnt have 4x series leh,if 152 theres 154,157
They should just built a proper brick ones rather than container type, look so old

New BSEP service. The September press release mentioned about the service serving Taman Jurong area.
No toilet? Really? Then what about Sims Place and Ghim Moh Terminal. Got toilet inside the container office?
View from another angle

This is one of the rumor i have read.
I certainly hope it is not true.....
I want a route to the city areas...not looping around the region

I am not sure.....
The container is quite small.....smaller than the one at Marina Centre
But they definitely need a toilet.
My guess is...those portable blue/green toilet at one corner
Just found out another bus fan has took photos of the interchange and shared it on facebook

Clear overview of the bus terminal, without the heavy vehicles blocking
There is lot of scope to introduce new services in Jurong Industrial Estate. I think they don't because Boon Lay is already full. Wonder if it would be a JIS service starting here. Just a wild thought.
I don't think 30 will start here. It will break the link b/w Corporation and Boon Lay. Likewise for 154, it will break link to Boon Lay.
157 could be extended to Taman Jurong via Corporation. Even if it does not go to Boon Lay interchange, okay, since so many direct service 174/198 duplicating its route.
This terminal only meant for 1 or the most 2 service la,Just look at the narrow road and the 3 saw berth lots...Unless they make it another 3 lots

Especially when the Joo Koon bus interchange start operating, i forsee a lot of changes~~~ and of course, more space at BNL

Yes you are right.
I don't think there are even enough space for additional 3 lots, LOL. The road is pretty short in length.
I think adding 1 more lot is already stretching it, making the whole road full of bus bays.
One thing i notice is that, when i was there, there is a international school there and the private buses you see parking at the bus bays are waiting to enter the school as the school compound is already full of school buses.
Will be quite messy when the bus terminal start operating. Very narrow road.
Maybe build a small terminal on the plot of land beside the new flats coming up on the left of the office? The office can mark the border of the bus terminal, and proper berths, as well as facilities like toilets, a small shop and canteen (not really neccessary), can be built with various walkways linking the terminal to the flats around.

I don't think that is possible.
I have check Onemap Landquery and that plot of land is owned by HDB, probably earmarked for future flats development as well.
Only the land space of the small Office is owned by LTA.
The way they constructed the bus bays, can tell, they really don't want to intrude into that plot of land.
Actually, to even have a bus terminal at Taman Jurong itself is a surprise.
Frankly, i don't really see the need of it. Haha

LOL
Should have built inside Japanese garden there,i forsee an arguments will start once the private buses illegally park at the berth waiting for students just like Sims Place
