I used to live at the defunct 5 storey flat at Hu Ching Rd during bachelor times
So is it the roadside where 154 ply or the small road leading to former jurong town pri sch?
Is it along Ho ching road?
Maybe the road side terminal will be used to monitor and dispatch buses for SWT and downroutes on svc 30, 98, 154, 240. I don't see any other why a road side terminal should be constructed there, unless there is plan to introduce a new service. But then again lot of good services, don't know if there is a real need.
Ho Ching rd is further apart near Blk 120 there this is just opp Jurong lake park
I read the article.
Wouldn't it be redundant when the Joo Koon Bus interchange is operational?
New service to start from there or a bus service to be diverted there?
No much information from the article.

Think services will be diverted there as BNL is facing space constraints.
Ah svc 30 and 154 good candidate and a new trunk loop at Boon Lay

i also think about 154
maybe 154 terminate there?
from boon lay int to taman jurong & vice versa got demand ? if have, then the link will be lost lol
That's why a need for a short trunk covering 154 routes to Boon Lay and Taman Jurong residents will benefit from this if SBST introduce a new svc to somewhere else
I don't think they will shorten 30 and 154 to there somehow but it;s possible IMO that there might be a new service from there.

since 154 & 240 somehow plies around the area,
will 240 be amended ? haha
SWT drivers currently doesn't have a proper place to rest.

154 cannot be amended to there as it will lose the link from Boon Lay to Taman Jurong to areas along AYE and Clementi.
240 also won't be terminated there as it is the only route servicing bus stop after Corporation Place to Lakeside MRT before it turns back to Corporation Dr. During peak hours, you can easily see 10-15 pax board on this stop.
The Taman Jurong Terminal can have only 1 service since it has only 3 parking lots. I think it might be used to time SWT and downroutes on 30, 98, 154, 240. These 4 services could have 1 bus operating on full day basis from Taman Jurong to improve connectivity for the HDB hubs in the area to Lakeside / Boon Lay.
Why on earth SWT BC need a proper terminal?Theyre not running full day right?Who knows there might be an express svc running from there ply teban Gdn then straight to aye towards town?
why need a terminal at Taman Jurong? For what?
The real need for terminals with parking slots is at
Marine Parade
Siglap
Kovan
Lakeside
not at Taman Jurong!!!

Marine parade dont need but i think siglap need. Residents can just go over to siglap. For kovan, i think the terminal will only be fully utilised by 113 and 115. Imagine the kovan crowd queuing up for 113 at the terminal? 115 bc need a proper terminal leh. Cannot keep use the kpt toilet. Lakeside that side no need terminal also.
The below points are my thoughts and can correct me if i'm wrong.
It may be for Svc 174/174e. Currently they are using 4 end-on berths at Boon Lay Int. With the amendment, it is able to free up 4 extra berths for Svc 30/154. Secondly, Taman Jurong has limited bus services with direct access to Dunearn Rd/ Orchard/ City Hall. With the help of 174e, it may alleviate the load from MRT(?). Those passengers at Boon Lay Drive has Express 502 though it will be more expensive.
