  The journey of design and manufacturing/assembly of artillery

  was started more than 20 years ago.

  FH 88 laid a solid foundation stone .The rest is history.

  So,In the past 20 years,from 1988,4 guns rolled out from ST Eng,

  in productions and in services!!

  U cant get much Details of Pegasus from ST site.

  I dunt think it would be worse than FH 2000 which i list in above.

  Why all men in all youtubes of M 777 have to use ramming rod to push

  the shell into the barrel?But i read there is flick rammer in M 777!!

  Look, for fucking out loud, our FH-88 was based on the Soltam 155mm 39calibre gun. THere is nothing fucking new about it.The FH-2000 had some extra technology but it is not unique.

  How to manuver M 777 with 2 wheels and 2 legs?

  Emplacement

  After it is stopped,the gun has to sit on the ground NOT under control.

  Is it true?I watch a video and i find just like that.

  From this position,the gun will just sits on the ground.

  Then the' legs' would be put down.

  

  

  In the above(lower) video,the gun just sits down without control!!

  

  Displacement

  Just the reverse.One guy have to jump to barrel to let the gun to be hooked

  and towed!!

  

   

  I am suprised in 21 st century,machine is not used in war!!

  Once M 777 is rested on the ground,it takes time to move it.

  It is ok to be used in area where the enemy's longest range weapon

  is RPG and biggest powerful weapon is road side IED.

  But it is not good to be used in location where your enemy

  come with artillery radar and counter fire artillery!!

  I find in this video a portable generator on a truck which is most likely for

  the comm equipment for receiving firing order.

  Then i find a wire links up the comm and the gun!!

  Also,u need manually to adjust the elevation of the gun,

  and traverse of course!!

  Manually to adjust elevation in M 777 in 2008!!

  i think i need explain for Janes.Ha ha.

  Janes classify under main uses.Pegasus is bascially a towed gun.

  SP is just for shoot and scoot or the towing is not feasible.

  Eg urban areas,narrow terrain etc.

  M 777 is a Pure towed gun.It must be moved by external power.

  So,its firing sys to receive firing order is also supported by external power!!

  If u watch the Canadian force video,u can imagine:

  While few guys is emplace the gun,one or two have to switch

  on small generator for the firing order comm equipment

  and connect wire to the gun.I find one guy also instal the sight!!

  So,when u displace,u have to do all the above again!!

  

  Dunt tell me the isolated sight(at your left) will be in this position

  when the gun is travelling!!

  So,u have to take the sight down when u displace

  and put it back when u emplace!!

   Compare with Pegasus sight which can stand 90 G,

  (at top right hand corner of a photo i posted earlier)!

  I dunt think u need to fix and put it down so troublesome!!

  no.1 below---Pegasus sight can stand 90 G!!

  no 2 below--M 777 sight.U have to take it down!!
