Sondhi is in serious condition : doctor
Doctors are conducting an urgent operation on Sondhi and the operation is expected to finish around noon.
Sondhi, a core leader of yellow shirts, known also as People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD), who seized Bankok airports late last year, has no wounds on his body.
His driver, Vayupak Mussi, was also seriously wounded from the attack. Doctors said later that he survived and was now in stable condition.
Meanwhile PAD's spokesman Parnthep Pualpongpan said at least two attackers riding on a pickup blocked Sondhi's vehicle who was on Samsen Road, heading to Manager newspaper office in Banglampoo area early Friday morning.
The attackers then shot four tyres of Sondhi's vehicle before stepping out of their car and sprayed more bullets on the car. The attack lasted about five minutes and the attackers went back to their pickup which sped away along Tevet Road.
Police who rushed to the scene found Sondhi's car riddled with bullets and they could collect more than cartridges of AK-16 and rifles from the scene.
Parnthep said Sondhi was informed of reports that he could possible a target of attack, but he simply ignored the warnings.
Meanwhile Chamnong Paokorn, 53, a bus driver, said that he was driving his bus past Iamworanut Temple when he saw a blue pickup truck which had no license plate blocked Sondhi's vehicle.Then two men on the back of the pickup then opened fires on the vehicle. Then another vehicle sped to the scene and exchanged fires with the attackers who later escaped the scene.

Aiya, What does thai politic got to do with our medical fees?? you alway like to link to the dogs.Remember, one of the Asian foreign policy is not to interfere each other domestic politics. So Uncle back off ya.
And worst, you thumbs up thai medicine for what, Singapore MOH charges higher come with a price ok...at least we got no free shooting, bullets spraying kind of society here, so peaceful. I dun mind paid a bit more in a society where I, as a Young mei mei, can walk the street even at midnite.

Cannot, very dangerous, u didn't watch Bangkok Dangerous meh?? Starring Nicolas Cage, u watch it, very nice. Those walk on BKK street goes with men or boys, and in those outskirt of BKK where most thais live, if you walk, you are asking for it.
It does not mean there is crimes, all countries have crimes, be it big or small, rich or poor, the question here is less crimes and more crimes, many bkk cases goes unnoticed, the police also scare the gangster and alots of corruption. In Singapore, there are less crime, because beside that Clemeti rapist and a few other including you, i dun see any problem.
Dun worry uncle, i am trained by PAP police force during my poly years, i got police whistle, taekwando green belt, mist eyes spray and handheld electric shocker. I also wears 3 undergarments. Thanks for you concern.

Well.. i have to admit, its these ppl that decides to make changes that will most likely lose thier life. That is the price to pay. They gamble thier life. So maybe instead of cursing the despots , u can go down in a blaze of glory like him. ;p
