Bettas : Crowntail, Halfmoon, Doubletail or Veintails ?

Yes, they comes in various shape and breeds. Veiltails Bettas are those that cost U $1 to $2 to get from any aquarium
Crowntail/Halfmoon/Double Tails/Super Delta Bettas are much more costly and U can get them at those outlets that I have mentioned before in another thread. -
where got sell lots of Crowntails ? i prefer those young ones...not those whose fins have developed fully already..

Maybe the thread of keeping Bettas is coming up soon. I observe more and more fish shop is selling Bettas nowsaday.
If the water condition (most important, the PH level of the water) can be carefully controlled, your Bettas will live happily wihout any illness. -

im not any pro....can correct me if im wrong. actually ph is not realli an important factor. As long as u age ur water and eliminate harmful chemical in ur water will do d trick. i have bettas living in ph 4-5 and still healthy. wat realli matters is how clean u keep em and how u feed em. juz my 2 cents.Originally posted by bus:

i think bettas are nice fish....the fish with the largest array of pattern and colours....i just love crowntails..

i no digital camera...but they are look nice to me, all < 10 bucks one...haha. first one is 2 bucks, 2nd one is 6 bucks (young) and the 3rd one is 8 bucks, bought today. maybe will get another one...hmmmmm.

if u wan any betta fish tell me...i can sell u some of mine or get gud ones at cheap price for u guys. Crowntails r quite harder to maintain...their caudal rays tends to curl up veri easily and once they r prone to bacteria attack...they die veri easily. have a couple of CTs at home. CTs come in lots of patterns...u have d single rays and double rays and triple rays and and and....alot more.
i wouldnt recommed a newbie to get a 30 bucks Ct to keep. not worth it. i would say im still a newbie though...hehe.
i leave my water overnight wif anti chlorine.

8 bucks.....but then i bought it becos the Jurong West St 5x there got no nice bettas.....then i realised that Jurong West St 9x there got a small aquarium and the bettas all crowntails, selling at 5.50...
