  we are bound to face disappointments in life.. it's how you deal with it that matters.. by not letting it drag you down..
  
  as for knowing yourself.. it's process of self-reflection and correction..

  wow all the replies are so positive... so proud to be a singaporean.
  
  humanity? there is something that is higher than humanity. but before learning that, we have to be humble to admit our failures and learn from our mistake.
  
  know yourself to know others. everyone is our mirror, we reflect through their actions. if they make mistake, we learn from it and not complain and grumble because one day we will commit the same mistake unknowingly.

  Although life in sg is fast paced, pple shld learn to take some time of and reflect on their everyday life...
  Think abt failures and success, not by blaming or due to whom but rather abt Ur own comittment...
  Make U a better person with stronger will and mentaility~
