  coz the path/url you provided is in your machine, thats why you can see it. try it on another machine and you will know why.

  eh..erm. you have uploaded it to your private folder instead.
  
  you have to create a folder and enable viewing by the public. when you are done with that, move the picture over and use that url instead.
