As most ppl haf said, it depends the situation. For me, I feel it is not likely also. My ex just gave me an sms to say break up and its really hurting experience. I feel tt if i wana get over it, best thing is not to see her.
I got a fren who remainas frens after break up. So i guess its the situation bah.

when u lst break off, i suggest 2 weeks for both sides to cool down, dne u can start by sms him/her, askin abt their lifes, den start tokin on e fone 1month later, it would b great if they olso react postively.. -
