Do you think Long Distance Relationship work?
What are your views, considering both parties are stepping on different grounds.
Any real experiences to share? -
im in such a relationship now..
6 months n still strong...

Short term, yes, it'll work.
But long term, I wouldn't be able to guarantee I won't have the change of hearts. I don't trust myself to handle something like that, cos I cannot be alone.

i think its diffcult for two person to mantain such a realationship..
it takes alot of commitment and trust.. -

even dun say long distance.. sumtimes if u few days or 2 weeks nv c ur love one u oreadi miss ur love one like crazy liao.. still say months?
well long distance love need alots of determination,TRUST, compromise, patient... it nv easy but if both party r willing to sit down n overcome every prob den it will strengthen e bond further!

it all goes down to how well both of you are prepared for this LDR. will you be tempted if a gorgeous girl u fancy is available? do you trust her enough if she confess to going out with guys but are just frens oni? etc...both of you need to be realistic and honest abt your feelings towards one another...the other thingy is how long is this LDR gonna be?Originally posted by greyskymorning:Do you think Long Distance Relationship work?

yes they do if both give equal efforts, but if only one side is willing, den it ll soon break up....

what if its going to be for a few years? is it possible for some one to be on the other side of the world n still keep that kinda feelings? even frends will drift apart..

hard. experienced before. broke up within 3 month the r/s ended.

Actually depends on both parties, their commitment to each other, their trust in each other and of course the amount of phone bills they are willing to pay!!
I studied overseas too and saw cases where they broke up and the gal or guy went out with someone else. Basically they just can't bear the loneliness in a strange country and can't take the stress of a LDR. I only know of two couples that managed to sustain a 3 years LDR and another two who sustained a 2 years LDR. Three couples are happily married now and the last one is still dating. So what u think leh?

What give you this idea?? It CAN work just that both parties need more work. Then as one of the couple told me, the relationship is stronger because of this.
