i m 165 n so far all my gf all shorter than me.... i say i prefer cute gals but maybe the true reason is i can't bring myself to go chase taller gals??? system auto shut when e gal i see is taller than me.....

must depend on the girl loh.. maybe some girls like taller guys may got more protection.. but others may like guys about the same height with them so can lie on their shoulders mahz so, that janice may have a diff. opinion towards the guy she prefer.. for me

see from the girls' views sometimes..
if you are a ger, will you wan your bf/husband/date standing beside you,
1) height reaches your shoulder/chest level..
2) can only hug your waist and be very uncomfortable to even put the arms around your shoulders.
3)when you need a shoulder to cry on, sitting down no prob lah, but if standing up, i think your back will be hunched after crying the whole night..
4) imagine the girl looking for you amidst crowds and the short guy being dwarfed by the people around him.. situations could be like bazaar malam or during clubs and maybe the Great Singapore Sale...
just some situations to think about about...
so, it really takes a lot of confidence within a short guy to date a ger who is much taller. 3cm-5 cm dun say la.. not tat much anyway.. -

the society is just this realistic. in everything, situation, condition, there will be these sort of pp who have negetive thinking about. they don't want to accept the fact.

in our parents' generation there's not much emphasis on height probs, so long as u find a good wife/husband, u dun realli mind the height. But nowadays our perceptions have changed. Our expectations've become larger, the 'face' problem becomes more serious, etc. I think those are some of the reasons why ppl nowadays cannot resolve that height prob in their r/s.
I know alot of guys would feel inferior if their gfs are taller than them, but let's not forget that there are also gals out there who cannot accept their bfs being shorter. -

I used to have a bf whom is shorter than me. i have to wear flat sandals all the time if nt will criticised by friends and this will hurt him too. At first i thought i would accept this fact that he is shorter than me..however as time went by, i cannot stand the eyes of others although i like him. In the end, i broke off with him.
but i know cannot blame those guys who are short but u also have to accept the fact that gals would rather go for taller guys

I read the Jancie's article on the height of guys but not her other articles. I can't comment on her previous articles, but honestly I find that the points made in her Men's height article is correct.
It is easily for taller men to find dates and henceforth life-long partners.
Ladies by nature (geneic programming) will then to seek out taller men. There are women with shorter men but that is a minority.
There is no gurantee that a taller man will give the woman you greater happiness compared to a shorter man, but still woman will look for taller man. Partly because of:
a. genetic programming to look for taller (stronger men)
b. peer pressure, people will stare or laugh if date is shorter than her
c. taller man with marginally shorter lady looks "normal". have you ever seen a TV advert whereby the lady is taller than her "date".
So give that Janice lady a break. What she said is quite true.
If you don't believe what she said, go and talked to some ladies and they will tell you the truth.
That also apply to why women marry men who are better educated (or equirvalent) compared to themselves and also look for men who are more successful compared to themselves.
