I read STREATS paper today & there is an article written by someone whom guys do not like -- Janice Wong. She mentioned that if a guy is short, high chance is that he will be left on the shelf unless he possesses something extra for the gals to take note of!!!!
It really hurt my ego as I am not that tall & indeed there are comments from my colleagues that I am short but does the height determine my whole life?? so sain & sad to read about the article by the way.
Anyone cares to share? It seems it is getting more & more difficult to married a local gals. sian man.................((( -

Hi, All. I was "demoralised " for 1/2 day after reading that articles.
She is kena "K" by a lot of guys in the Sammyboys Forum whenever she wrote an articles in STREATS.
She wrote a lot of sensitive issues especially BGR in STREATS till a lot of readers got fare yp with her!!!!
Actually to be frank, gals STILL prefer taller guys to be their BF/husband.......... that's a FACT of life. -

I've got a friend who's 1.60m (a guy), and his girlfriend is probaby about 1.66m, and when they stand together it's a distinctive difference. She doesn't mind at all, and they've been together for two and a half years and are still going strong. So it doesn't mean that shorter guys will always get left on the shelf.

I believed that guys always at an advantage if he is tall especially in Courtship as gals will feel a sense of security is there when going out with a tall guy.
I am not say short guy don't stand a chance but it is up to the gal to be able to understand that there is "no perfection" in this world and please do not "rule out " short guys for romance. Something good might come out of it. We never know as everything is unpredictable. -

hmm.. i also think dat height matters to gals somewhat.. it boils down to providing dat inner sense of security dat they are seeking.. but anywae dun be dissappointed as other qualities dat you may possessed also matters.. =)

I used to have a bf whom is shorter than me. i have to wear flat sandals all the time if nt will criticised by friends and this will hurt him too. At first i thought i would accept this fact that he is shorter than me..however as time went by, i cannot stand the eyes of others although i like him. In the end, i broke off with him.
but i know cannot blame those guys who are short but u also have to accept the fact that gals would rather go for taller guys

I agree...first u will have to be comfortable abt ur height, and not let it bother u. Janice Wong is one of the reporters for STREATS Newspaper. All her article are actually "Suaning"/making sarcastic remarks about local guys
1. No standard lah
2. Must be rich lah, cannot make it go Vietnam lah
3. Expect guys to pay for al the things when go outing with gals as gals take time to make up for the outing and it is "tian jing de yi" that guys pay!!!!

Well, there is one colleague of mine who wanted to introduce her friends to me but she said I am not tall and her friends might "not like".
Well, I believe when one is looking for a partner, height is just one minor factor that guy/gal will look at. Imagine a gal going out with a idea tall guy(with V-Shaped Figure) but the 2 cannot click as their thinking/common interests are different, Do U this relationship will last??
Well, no human beings are perfect as planned by gods and it is up to the individual to make/compromise all these imperfections into a "perfect" relationship!!! Agree with me?
