Hi, single guys out there...will U give up hopes of getting someone when U are after 30 years old??
Any views on this issue?? How U all counteract loneliness/bordom when most of your friends are attached/married? -

Regarding conteracting loneliness/boredom rite, well....probably u wanna look for some new frens (eg. this forum)...go for their outings....

probably ur frens hv their own family, u wont chiong so much liao so have to find new frens and pick up new hobbies.
perhaps i will consider volunteer, will meet up wif lots of pple from different area. -
30 only mah. If want to give up, then give up loh.

There are a lot of reports of old people marrying.
besides, if you're male and 30 and you give up, I can't imagine what the ladies in their 30 will do. -

anyway i seriously think i wil fall into this category! so im thinking of wat i will do liao..
go for further studies, find things to do other after work, pick up new hobbies... mabbe realli wil be quite sian when ur frens r all "gone" ... lan lan lor.. still haf to live on. -
nah.. there's always hope... just live life as normal.. pick up a hobby, sign up for interest groups.. life as a single can be as fun, if not more.. just have a healthy social life and who knows one day she'll sashay into your life..

Are you kidding. Men in their 30s are still desirable. Money, career, stability, large pool of women younger than you are. If he stays in shape, no problem getting a girl.

for e.g., the latest dateline i set myself to get married is 35 or maybe 37 if things turned out bad(as in potential wife run away), and the earliest dateline i set myself to get married is 30(if my potential wife wanna get married liao due to age or whatever) or 32, so i believe that such a dateline will seriously affect your personal mentality on relationships. i'll only consider getting myself very very seriously involved in a relationship after age 25++. and after 5-7 years of dating then get married. i think 5 yrs is the correct amt of time to get to know each other to the stage of been 2gether everyday. if u cannot be 2gether for 5yrs, not to say see each other everyday rite? -
why dont u try SDU and SDS for a change?

One of my friends went for the activities & was disppointed .
Is there any other activities (not thru SDU/SDS) where U can met up with those young gals? Please do not tell me about chatroom/chatline etc. I am not interested in all these. Thanks -

Aiyah... why so negative about what will happen tomorrow..?? Why worry so much?? For those who are already pass thirty or around there, then it's time to do something. But for those younger ones, there's still hope mah... Just don't give up on yourselves.
There are some things you can do to make yourselves more attractive to other opposite sexes... not just looks alone.
maybe read some self-improvement books, join some interesting enrichment programmes... or maybe go mingle with right group of people/friends that can teach u more things (i.e. how to behave in front of girls/guyz). The main thing is to develop character in oneself. If one has a good 'character' (package), others will definitely can see through wan...
But... also depends a little bit on your chance (luck). If u find one, wow! Congrats... If the other party finds u, Wah Lao! Even better! If u haven't find one... then keep on movin' man... pray about it!

I am 32 now, a guy , I never gives up hope bec. I don't think I hv really go out to know girls for the past yrs , busy with work since Uni graduation, then took up my master very busy as well & same time start my own biz even busier . But , never let the word " Busy " gets in your way. If you are keen to start a family you shd hv a positive attitude towards marriage &o I believe one day the right girl will come along . In S'pore nowasdays it is very common - many guys & gals @ this age still single for many reasons some are of good quality in term of character, appearance ( not very beautiful/handsome kind but moderate or avg.) Some chose to remain single, like my close friend - handsome, talk , Bizman in IT service, own a car, goes golfing, k'oke, diving, roller-blading , muscular brainy, American Uni. graduate but simple afraid to commit but still goes on dates with unknowing girls ( Poor Girls - they don't know he will never commit & get married) . But, most Pp are too busy with work, shy , little chance to meet guys/gals if work environment doesn't provide or never goes out to meet them ----------- so many reasons , stressful life style also plays a very ompt. role.
