from women charter to the legal system and administration on marital issues, to begin with..it is not tuned in line with the times and has to be adjusted to not just include women's interests but for men as well...a balanced perspective and foundation is needed...
but that is not all....its a compendium of issues implicating social psychological aspects as well....
and the medias have a large responsibility for the impact of communicating on gender issues arising in greater gender misperception and conflicts ...overemphasizing on women issues but downplay on men's contributions..
equally not voicing for their partners, sons or future sons interests instead of fighting it for their own rights, the fathers should have slapped the daugthers on the other side of the face...to be fair...

Ok, Actually hor, i think, this thread is wrong on its focus.
TS is wrong on his basis of double standards of slutty women, in the sense that he is making the distinction of a slut being one that chooses an ang moh over a sg guy.
Well, of cos that certainly shows her as vain lah, but that is classified as a SPG. Doesnt mean a sg girl who does not get attracted by an ang moh is pure and chaste loh.
Personally I dont think the influence of ang mohs is that strong here. What i mean is if you have a sg girlfriend, the likelihood she will be snatched away by an ang moh is very minute lah. Ang mohs do not pose too much of a threat lah. You'll be more likely to be troubled by your sg gf with so many much more reasons loh.
When you say girls practise double standards, it literally means that the things they do contradict the things they say.
Like materialism lah, can say money is not important, but you no $, you're out of the list lah.

Like choice of bf lah, Say want to find a decent gentleman of a bf, but always seem to have a terrible choice of bfs, hook up with those screw up jerks / ah bengs, then later whine and complain about not meeting a decent man. Wait til they start to depreciate and lose their value liao, then realise the need to settle down, then go look for a decent man.
Having unrealistic expectations over their partner while you know, what makes them think they can expect all that, when they are not that decent to deserve all those things the guy can give her?
