  welcome to singapore :) I think your bf is a mummy's / daddy's boy......and seems like you don't have a very understanding father-in-law.

  I can totally understand how u feel when they all speak in chinese and you dun understand a single word, my fiancee is indonesian and she's always with her family and relatives, speaking indonesian all the time. It is really tiring smiling for nothing all the time. So what I do is I always ask my fiancee (who is more than happy to) to translate for me. It also helps that I understand a little bit of the language.

  me thinks that if u love him, u shd accept him the way he is. He cannot cut off from his parents just because of the wife. one way to solve this is to stay near his parents, maybe the next HDB block or what.
