Student Jailed for Upskirt Footage

In the Community Court yesterday, a 25 year-old student was jailed for two weeks for using a mobile phone camera to film “upskirt” footage.
Tan Wee Min shot the video clip while on an escalator at Jurong Point shopping mail on March 4.
The woman was going up the escalator to the second level when she turned around and saw Tang holding a cellphone near her skirt.
TangÂ’s lawyer, Ms Hemalatha Silwaraju, said her client was reserved and shy with no disciplinary problems. He was unable to handle stress at school, she said.
He has since sought treatment at the Institute of Mental Health. -
