You can't make the change to the popularity contest in the world, local musicians are always not well known enough.... You may not be able to make that big difference to make them great or anything, but the least you can do, you can do it here...
Name down any local musician (may be your friend or someone you admire) which you feel is rather good with what he/she does (meaning play instrument or sing whatever related to music!!) and give that inch of support (that little publicity) to them here..... wouldn't be nothing much to help a friend!!!!
