What i think about Nex as compared to Jurong Point.
Nex escalator is built at the side, not accessible for those who want to go other sides. Normally escalators are built in the middle which you can go both sides (left & right), but Nex is on the right. Those who wanna go left, need to route a big way to go other sides. Jurong Point has escalators in the middle.
Nex walkway is damm narrow. A few people walked slowly infront, you'll sure to slow down. Somemore there's pushcarts in the middle of the way.
For example outside Fairprice Xtra, the space outside is damm SMALL. People coming out will bang with people going in and somemore there's small shops JUST outside Fairprice.
Jurong Point has very wide walkway. The traffic at Jurong Point is always high even during weekdays. Jurong Point is very spacious.

Agree that Jurong point is a huge mall, unfortunately its like 5437689569285 mrt stations away from me, but NEX is 1 mrt station away only.
I have yet to visit NEX, but their tenants directory seems pretty exciting to me. Jurong point are the usual tenants you can find anywhere, save for that watch shop at the corner of JP2 that also sells ball watches.
Never knew jurong point had close to 1500 parking lots, maybe the loading/unloading bays are included.
Anyway, my favourite hangout is till vivocity/harbourfront.
vivocity ftw
no fight.
Hanor hanor, you could drive a farking truck thru the walkways, no, make that 2 trucks, side by side.

On some website it says, Nex has no unique mix of Tenants. But Jurong Point does.
There's a japanese food street at the basement (inbetween JP1 & JP2).
Restaurants are placed side by side (more competition, more choice)
e.g ( Breaktalk, Toast Box, Din Tai Feng, Thai Express, Swensens, Lai Lai Kitchen, New York New York, Burger King, Long John Silvers, Burger King) are placed side by side. At the other side (Mcdonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut, Delifrance, Mos Burger) are also side by side. This is one of the unique things.
yesterday i went nex. It's all mixed, so messy. When i wanna find Mcdonalds, i counldn't find any, when i turn around i saw McValue Lunch poster, than i knew that's Mcdonalds. It's located so Ulu at a corner of nex.
Pitty Nex, only 450 parking lots

Yeah, I know JP has a japanese food street, but all of them happen to be under one common management, none of them happen to be a premium like kuriya, or the one of kind stuff.
NEX has freshness burger, under the guy who owns the akashi group, and white dog cafe, and also Grandma. Then there is also the japanese speghetti shop, owned by another group. And then the rest of the restaurants, eg The Ship, etc... are you get what I mean.
Vivocity has no macs, nor KFC, nor mos burger, maybe coz harbourfront has, and their eateries are spread out from basement all the way to the 3rd floor but it still pulls in the crowds. Lets not even go into their tenant mix.
Tampines Mall, Tampines 1, Century Square together is still much better.
No need to compare until like that.
My only gripe with JP is the lack of directories at escalators, considering the corners and maze around the area, I've still yet to successfully go to the Popular without getting lost in one way or another. And another irritance is having to walk around the MRT to use the gantry, since the one directly facing JP is 1-way.
Jurong Point has to be big
68,000 HDB units (92,000 if incl Jurong East) + condo + NTU + industrial park as hinterland.
any shopping center that decide to torture their paying customer with super long walkways fail.
i will go once but never again. besides, i dont shop. im a guy.
i can never have enough of vivocity. i still think it is still the best.
vivo city for the win... nex is trying to hard to be the next vivo..probably nex could say is on par with ion orchard..
depends on where u live.
i would definitely choose NEX
(which i went yday)
i oni been to zhurong pt 1 time this yr
and i did not even step into the mall
i was oni hanging at wendys
i have tampines one, tampines mall and century square opposite my house.
to die early, there is downtown east. just stare at kids there. they'll slash you.
Nex is cool!
Nex get my vote.
Nex is a lot better. Got best mix of shops, and some shops are unique.
Others may be bigger - but the mix is not that good , also shops are found in other shopping centers.

Yeah, every body flock to Nex cause it's NEW SHOPPING MALL.
Everybody is curious on the new mall.
But few more months later, crowds will start to decrease. Because most of the visitors
are one time visitors. Go one time and will never go back.
But for JPSC it's different, it's Everyday crowded. I just went just now, it's crowded even on weekdays.
I believe Nex shopping mall crowds will gradually decrease
