You press one button, the pencil sharpener pops up. You press another button, a little drawer for more pencils pops out. And so on.

those were the days when there were not internet for most of us so we sit around watch crappy shows just to remain happy and well adjusted>LOL

You pull the rope like attachment with teeth, the teeth would interact with whatever inside the platform which in turn make the helo rotors spin.
I remember the platform is khaki green, the helo body is red, its rotor is orange.
Remember it was 1989 when this toy surfaced.

Ch 8 3 pm reruns of SBC dramas. Classic.
Often after school at home in the afternoon with nothing to do,I just took a high stool, sat by the window and watched the world go by...(My place can see Keppel Harbour and the railway station)

Also got variations, put on pencil. Then you rotate the pencil using your palms and it will fly up

Its a flat palm sized platform. The helo is much smaller than that.

I loved to do that when I was in pri sch. After school dismissal at 1+,there would be an interval of 1+hr before the reruns of SBC drama serials came on at 3pm.
I stay in the Deep South, hence I loved to watch the cargo loading/unloading process at Tanjong Pagar railway station and Keppel Harbour. I love cranes, container trucks, forklifts. It was really an intriguing process.
This is a 2009 photo from the view from my window-spottiswoode is the flats you see on the left. It was called Keppel Harbour then. Now it is called Keppel Container Terminal.
