Well, let's just say we (Singaporeans) still have a lot to improve on.

I went to the mirror, like you requested, and realized that I fall into points 8 and 10. More interestingly, I am like that only when I step into your godforsaken island. Yes, I am actually inclined to be so, thanks to you guys. 4 out of 5 encounters I have on your island are of the 10 points listed. I can only reiterate: what comes around, goes around.
On a similar note, for those who have been out of your little well that is Sillypore, you will have noticed that lots of angmohs on your island are crude like you people, when such behaviour is but a tiny minority in their home countries. One phrase comes to mind: cultural assimilation. Your PAP likes to term this as 'melting pot'.

Thanks for demonstrating the friendliness of Sillyporeans.
I am not entirely unhappy here. Like I said, I like the place; the parks, reserves, wildlife. Luckily, I have a great bunch of buddies who keep me sane here. Unlike the majority, who are, well.. shit.
I have to admit, I love this job that allows me to see so many cultures. Shall I even mention the money? Let me give you a hint: it's WAY above the average salaries on your island. (But sadly not as much as your beloved rulers are earning, though.)

You have no clue how much your fellow Sillyporeans complain about everythin when they are being hosted.
Happy Birthday, smart people!
May I know which country are you from?
he might be gay u know . he wants to be cummed on his face .
funny that how this people can come into our country, mock at us and yet we can't do anything

of cos you can't do anything. everyone is entitled to his/her opinion and this is a situation they can take (clear) advantage of becos this is as simple as typing anonymously behind a screen; mocking and taunting cowardly becos they have nothing better to offer.
these ppl are probably scrap so you can either only engage them here with words or completely ignore them.
for instance, if nobody bothered replying to this thread, there is nothing the TS can do as well.
there will be other threads where meaningful exchanges can be had; but in truth, in this forum, words are cheap commodity here, including yours and mine. so, take it with a pinch of salt. you can have a little fun at their expense or be affected by it.
play soggy waffles with his face

I'll only say that I am a halfie who used to reside full-time on your island.

not really, you fit into at least 6 of them and its seven if i add point 8) on your call and you're not even here right now , unless of course, you're lying about not being here.
1. Demand good service, but are unable to provide any.
I don't know what you mean by this, but there are MANY shops and services around who provide good service. Just go to the malls and you will see. Of course, I won't deny that there are some, but very little shops who are left back in the "Shop is king" era.
2. Shrewd when being kiasu, but clueless when time to be considerate. (think bus/MRT)
YAH RIGHT! Singaporeans now are considerate. OF COURSE, WITH THE 200 000 NEW FOREIGNERS that entered Singapore last year, they are socially less educated and thus you may be talking abt them. There are so many times where my other fellow S'poreans let me alight first, give way on the escalator and offered me seat when I'm carrying many stuff, and I have done the same.
3. Sound brave and bold when complaining, but are meek and inadequate when proactive action needs to be taken. (think Speakers Corner)
WELL WE ARE PRAGMATISTS. While the small minority community in the Speakers' Corner complain about ridiculous issues like coup-ing the PAP when we do indeed have no reliable opposition, some of us just want to lead a contenting life. Of course, some issues they discuss are indeed relevant such as the ERP issue or high ministers pay. Thus we complain because the authorities will actually entertain & even help us. Reality is you can't change Singapore politics in the near future, so why bother? If you can't oppose it, work with it. That's our mindset.
4. Complain intellectually about everything, but are hapless solving any real issues.
To a certain extent, I agree.
5. Think they look cool, but in fact epitomize nerds. (the opticians are laughing all the way to the bank)
Singaporeans as far as I know are quite humble. If there's one trait I know, they do not like to show off or think they are so much better than the rest. You may be referring to the China/India elites who come here and boast.
6. Quick at finding fault in others, but never seem to be aware of their own. (think Stomp)
Uhh...we are aware, but sometimes we just don't bother.
7. Intelligent academically, but not streetsmart. (just put him side by side with an angmoh, or almost anyone from another 1st world nation, in a social situation. There, you got it.)
I can't deny that. It is true for many Singaporeans, especially for students in the Science streams of Sec School & JCs.
8. Have an uncultured mentality of expecting the maximum while giving the minimum, rarely empathizing with the other party. (there's a reason for they saying: what goes around, comes around)
9. Think they are a first-world people with many 'achievements' for a small nation, when in fact are tactless, uncivil, and lack etiquette.
Again, we do not boast about our achievements. Our government is the one that does that. When we're overseas and people ask abt Singapore, we don't boast "OH, how can you not know? It's the country with the best airport in the world, MRT with best passenger experience award blablabla..."
10. Are quick to take advantage of situations and people, but seem handicapped in showing appreciation with sincerity and spontaneity.
That's crap. I don't deny that Singaporeans are good at taking advntage of situations. BUT i oppose when you say that we're not sincere and spontaneous when showing appreciation. Singaporeans, as compared to many others in the region, actually know how to use "Please and Thank You"
I don't know what you have against us Singaporeans, but you must have mistaken us for some other nationalities. Maybe it is due to the excessive foreign talent infliction in Singapore...Originally posted by simnatic:Smart Retards of the First World.1. Demand good service, but are unable to provide any.

Thank you for the good points raised.
In the face of the rising anti-ChinaChinese sentiment on this beautiful island, allow me to remind all Singaporeans that they are indeed smart people.
The bone of contention around here is ASSIMILATION. These shiteheads running around spitting, talking in loud voices, refusing to speak anything else but Mandarin, prostituting, staring at people and their uncouth manners is started to piss off most Singaporeans. My 7-11 got this China caveman who apparently unable to speak in lingua franca or refuse to do so. I end up pointing and gesturing as if i am having a conversation with a chimp. This encroachment of "China" culture is unsettling. Why, one day we might find ourselves eating fake meat buns, tainted milk or whatever fake shit that seems to come from China these days.
shit, double post
CLAP CLAP!!!!
