HiakZ~
Would you get in a stranger's car? Since Singapore's crime rate can be considered low and the streets at night are safe.
I guess you will have to have the guts to get in, I guess most people won't, especially when you are a girl.
There was once I lost my pager at Marina South and my mum accompanied me to MS to try and find my pager in the wee hours of the morning. After some tedious work, we found it~! How lucky...
Then comes the bad part, there were no cabs available in MS at that time. We tried to call a cab initially and we met Mr Nice Guy.
He offered to bring us to look for a cab at another place and finally, he sent us back home. During the journey, my mum was so paranoid that he might harm us in some way.
When we reached home, mom said that it was dangerous to do that. What if he is a baddie?
Hehehehehe... nothing happened, maybe because we were in a pair? :p
The other time was when I finished a seminar and had to bring all the stuff back to office, a man offered me a ride back since he couldn't bear the sight of a lady carrying such a heavy box, how sweet~!
Yeah, he sent me back to office, carried the box up for me and met my colleagues. We talked for a while and he gave me his namecard and left.
My colleagues gave me a dressing down when they learnt that I just got on his car like that. Sheesh... I should have known better.
Last week, we went bowling. I got picked up by a guy who offered me a ride to the alley.
Hitch hiking is very common overseas, I wonder why there are some who still feel skeptical about getting on a stranger's car.
Why? Would you get in a stranger's car? If yes, why? If no, why?
