STOMPers saw flames and black smoke coming from the Singapore Polytechnic campus this evening.
STOMP contacted the SCDF and a spokesperson said the SCDF received a call for assistance at 7.35pm.
The fire was put out around 8.30pm. Investigations are still ongoing.
A Singapore Polytechnic spokesperson has also issued a statement:
"A fire broke out this evening at 7.25 pm in a staff office of Teaching Block 2 Level 5 in Singapore Polytechnic.
"The fire has been put under control, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation by SCDF.
"There is no casualty reported and all staff are accounted for.
"Classes will not be affected by the incident and will continue as scheduled tomorrow at different locations."
