Having an IT diploma doesn't mean you can't work in order industry.

starting pay is one of it.
but it also depend on the job scope and other factor.

The amount of money you get is actually how much value you add to other people's life. It's not about getting a $2000 job, but it's more meaningful to look at another way round saying how much you benefit other people will contribute to how much you will be earning.
