there are just so many times i visited places and my experience was the total opposite of wat i read in such blogs
taste is ever so subjective
depends on luck which staff prep ur food, which server serve ur food, how's the weather that day, whether the stars are aligned.....
why you say so?
why you post-filling?
As long as it's in the interest of the blogger to promote the food, we will never get truly objective reviews, I guess. Sigh.
Wonder if this can be regulated; force all restaurants to have mandatory tastings, organize all the bloggers into a 'tasting' committee, and do surprise drop-in's so that the restaurant cannot prepare beforehand.
Oh, and, pay them a fixed sum per tasting, and not leave it to the restaurant to decide.
one way is not to read those "influencers" reviews since they are paid to "influence"
or read with a pinch of salt and pepper
there are plenty of community-based review sites like burrple, HGW, yelp, even trip advisors or just look in instagram, facebook which are posted by your everyday people who are most likely to be giving their honest feedback
Regulate?
who's going to regulate? Taste is subject, no matter who u judge, sure got ppl not happy one. The group regulating sure kenna trouble or unhappy people for nthing...
That said, Singaporean dun like to be regulated one
Haha I know I know. It's only a solution IF everyone is accepting and fair. And that's pretty much, well, impossible.
If can regulate they æ—©æ—©å°± do it liao
I've seen a cafe's menu that states 'We don't replace your food if it turns cold. Even if you're taking photos.' LOL thumbs up la.

Thanks.
no need to regulate everything but there's a law on false advertising
