SINGAPORE - McDonald's Singapore is giving away about 120,000 free Egg McMuffins on March 17 in its second year of "National Breakfast Day". All-day breakfast will also be served in 122 restaurants across Singapore.
Each participating store will distribute 1,000 free Egg McMuffins on a first-come, first-served basis, said McDonald's Singapore in a statement. All except the following stores in Singapore are involved in National Breakfast Day: KKH Hospital, Yew Tee (including Yew Tee Kiosk), Tampines Interchange Kiosk, Lucky Chinatown, Clementi Avenue 3, Changi Airport T2 Transit and Science Centre Singapore.
The fast food giant will be partnering Tampines North Grassroots Organisation to provide 1,000 free Egg McMuffins for needy families within the constituency. The families will be receiving the vouchers for redemption from March 17.
On Monday, the full regular lunch/dinner menu will only available after 6 pm. Customers can still order some of items such as French Fries, McSpicy, McNuggets, McChicken, McWings, Nacho Cheese/Tangy Filet-O-Fish, Apple Slices and desserts before 6 pm. The exception are these stores - Yew Tee (including Yew Tee Kiosk), Tampines Interchange Kiosk and Science Centre Singapore - which will operate as normal.
A new app will also be launched on that day. The Surprise Alarm App, a free alarm application for iOS and Android, will allow users to set multiple alarms throughout the day. Once a day, from March 18, they stand to receive a surprise from McDonald's, such as a free cup of coffee, music downloads, and fun images or videos.
