Hi everyone,
i will literally be in Singapore for less than 24hrs as I transit, but I have been asked by my mother to purchase packets of the Bak Kut Teh spices while in SIN to bring back to Canada.
she had purchased them in the past on our travels in Asia, but does not recall where she got them.
do any of you have suggestions to where to get? At a reasonable price/not targeted for tourists? Preference is to go somewhere close to a MRT stop for easy access as a race thru the city to hit up my favorite spots.
any insights would be appreciated! Try searching online and I found a lot of recommendations of places to have bak kut teh...not so much purchase the spice packets.
thanks!
why the trouble, any supermarket or wet market in sg has them
and i am sure you can find them in chinatown in canada
any major/minor supermarket or grocery store

this is my favorite as well. have a strong, herby and pepper-ly taste, awesome!
fifi 1 cheaper $1.20!
I like the one my mum makes, so peppery hot. If ma la is grade 1, then hers is grade 2.
