Watami, sakura ichiban not bad and not so expensive.
If you want to eat buffet I would recomend Ikoi @#01-01, Hotel Miramar, 401 Havelock Road.

chikuwa tei!!! really the best and freshest sashimi, order the chirashi set there = 25$ per bowl. BUT WELL WORTH THE MONEY. after coming back from JAPAN thats the ultimate place to go to get my jap fix,

For ramen, I like Miharu at Gallery Hotel.
Also second Cholelim87's recommendation on chikuwa tei for good sashimi.
