  Astons doesn't really do it for me, not like when they had one of their first outlets at Serangoon Gardens.  Tried the Astons Specialties at City Square recently and had a really really rare steak placed in front of me.  Think the crowd was too much for them on a weekend.

  Uno Beef House isn't bad.

  Western food stall at Tiong Bahru market is not bad, got cheese fries and good pork chop...

  I LOVE cheap western food found in hawker. I used to go to the one in Changi Village Hawker... really nice steak!

  eighteen chefs is cheap and good! especially love how the drinks come in the large jar. otherwise, just tried new york grand kitchen and they are not bad too. comes with free flow salad and soft serve
