If you want to mingle with us, why don't you try the Couchsurfing site? There are plenty of people who'd be willing to meet or show you around, not just in the evenings, and without ulterior motives.

no not the casino itself, i meant the nite spots in the bay sands i think?
whoring? isn't that working? surely singapore police will deport tourist who try to work illegally. ( i'm white and blonde and stand out!).
i have been to singapore many times, and security has never hassled me, in fact treated me with more respect than locals (quite embrassing for me when, old people are not given assistance etc....)

in singapore i have stayed at a few hotels. the ones i remember are swiss stamford marriott and mandarin. went to the equinox i think and the clubs in the hotels. quite expensive and no real mingling. i did not do my home work and did not find out the good spots. i am trying to change it this time. i won't be comming for a few weeks yet.

in my country, best place to mingle is at a friend's friends party at a private place. you have your friend there and you may know some of your firend's friend. and then most of the friend's friends you don't know. so you meet new people. if you're in the right crowd then you will have fun and the drinks are more reasonable! BYO? how do i get into one of those in singapore? i am yet to have a friend in singapore. so that's the start?

One of your friends or cousins might known someone working or on exchange here, so that is one possibility. And we have gatherings among groups of friends here occasionally. There are sections where people don't argue with one another.

how do i break into such groups? don't have friends/cousins there, but will ask friends/cousins whether they have friends there. excellent suggestion thanks
