STOMPer Sophia was appalled to see this mess after the IT Fair 2011 at Suntec City. He said Singaporeans should learn from the Japanese, who do not rely on cleaners when it comes to maintaining cleanliness.
Said the STOMPer:
"Seen in the pictures is the aftermath of Singapore IT fair 2011 at Suntec city.
Rubbish and discarded pamphlets are strewn all over the entrances, exits and even at the staircases.
"It is a wonder how Singapore got its status of a clean city.
"It
is fortunate that we have hardworking cleaners who will clean up messes
like this, or else we will be seeing this same unsightly scene all over
Singapore roads and buildings.
"When will Singaporeans become
like the Japanese who are truly disciplined in maintaining cleanliness,
and not because of cleaners and fines?"
OMG !!! Singapore lose face.
BLAME THE FTs FOR THE MESS.........
If we do all the cleaning ourselves, the aunties will no longer have a job. We are helping them by creating more job opportunities. (=^x^=)

What rubbish are you talking about! It's because of u this type of people!
Please wake up your ideal! I'm truly impress by the japanese. We as a Singaporean should learn them. I feel shameful to be a singaporean!
By imposing fine don't help. Parents should educate their childrens during young age.
You may think that what we are talking about is rubbish and feel shameful to be a Singaporean. But please don’t forget, there is nothing to be proud of being a Singaporean in the first place. Even having a pink IC doesn’t really prove anything. There are a big number of people who owns a pink IC but with all sorts of different accents. Yes, they are Singaporean, and then what are we?
Taiwanese are much better in this
Oh, and I forget to even mention that all sorts of achievement that Singapore had was never once a made in Singapore. They were all imported goods and if you feel proud just by that, it just shows how superficial you are.

last time feel proud when holding Singapore Passport, pink ic......... now........??
we are just money making machines in the eyes of the pappies..........
I think its a shame. True enough people these days throw rubbish more often than they do in the past? Why? Exams are more important... English, Mother Tongue, Maths, Science.... even form teachers are skipping Civics and Moral Education... So all intelligent, but no moral values inculcated at the end of the day.
To add on, i believe those that give out the brochures are oso to blame, sometimes they just push you with the brochures, even though you dont want them.
creating employment lah...

Fire. Fire.
It is a huge fire hazard.
The Fire Department should look at this matter seriously.
If there is a huge fire that engulf Suntec City and with hundred of thousand people
in the building, many people could die from it.
may i ask after all this ranting and raving against Singaporeans, what would you do to make things better YOURSELF?
would you also be one of the many who will throw litter about? who will not clean up after yourself in a foodcourt? who will not even give a shit and walk away when you've dropped something like a piece of paper?
or are you going to keep ranting on about "disgraceful Singaporeans" and then not do a damned thing about it?
cliched as it is, it starts with yourself..
Yes all flyers everywhere......
Bookfair coming in june. Also will like this?

why don't you collect all the flyers, put them with your newspapers and bundle them for recycling?
if everyone does that, will we need sweepers to clear up our litter?
complaining and increasing the frequency of sweeping will never solve the problem.. for all the praising of the Japanese whose streets are almost litter-free, do we actually add to the problems ourselves? or do we happily blame everyone else and every other nationality around (even though they do it)
if we set an example where we litter everything everywhere, the foreigners are going to take our lead and do the same...

Ok follow ur advice.
just because japanese no balls to litter does not mean that singaporeans no balls to litter
if you like japan so much, please go japan and die in their tsunami
NEA officers should patrol the IT Show...... sure can caught a lot of litter bugs......, thus helping gahment to earn more $$$$
He'll be so delighted......
