2016, PAP votes will increase above 60% or decrease below 60%?
What are your views?

They will still be the popular party with majority support to win the election again.

its the old people who voted for PAP esp the west. demographics are changing gradually. in 20 years the 20s and 30s will be in their 40s and 50s. see how then.
those who are in the 50s, 60s and 70s now, will be in their 70s, 80s and 90s, half a foot to their grave.

I think PAP votes will drop to 54% and below in 2016 elections.
50% and below is also possible.
I follow the trend of declining PAP votes.
2001 - 75%
2006 - 66% (dropped by 9%)
2011 - 60% (dropped by 6%)
2016 - 54% (dropped by 6%)
The PAP votes had dropped in the past, is dropping now and will continue to drop in the future. The votes will not increase.

Really meh? I thought it was the PRC-borns in the west and the subcontinentals from PGL. Quite a few old people in CLE where my family is based sibeh buay song with their local (PAP) MP.

I hope WP can capture East Coast & Yishun GRCs in addition to holding on to Aljunied-Hougang. They seem to be quite strong in these areas.

it will be balanced out. these days the youths are also buey song with the government. I once took a train, heard a remark from a teen that he reminised the good old days when foreigners are a minority in spore. he made that remark cos he saw a drunkard from china making a din in mrt.

I hope that:
PAP will lose all! 30% of the votes.
OR political parties will be reorganised - Labour Party, Conservative Party, Liberal Democrats, etc.

it needs to start with people who are determined.

So you can imagine how many new citizens we could be getting.

this will subject to how credible and strong the future oppositions are as well as how the ruling party divides the GRCs again....
the oppositions cannot wait till close to election to fight for winnings....they really have to start now to consolidate their strengths.....it cannot be an overnight victory...

Actually, I wanted very much to spoil the vote but many discouraged me. They said it is better to vote the opps, voting the opps hoping the white don't win.
Anyway . . .. .

just go with your heart and vote. dun listen to anyone. as a citizen, you should make your vote count.

I accepted their reasoning and voted the opps. Till now no regret voted opps.

I hope to see Nicole Seah in Parliament as NSP's first-ever MP.
BTW, I feel that Baey Yam Keng looks like a square peg in a round hole after the Abercrombie and Fitch incident. Perhaps he should have joined NSP instead. He'd be awesome if he were in the same team as Nicole.

The votes will increase if they change THROUGHLY and the policies...I only know that they are aiming aljunied only..never mention hougang they are not expecting clean sweep in future elections.
