Can PAP Candidate in polling station

  I saw Zaqy in the polling station this morning around 10:30am at Bukit Panjang Government High School talking to a polling agent before he went elsewhere. Is that allowed?

  Can. As long as you are not "around" the area.

   

  If you are "in" the area, you are not considered loitering .

  after the teleportation saga in 1997, they seemed to have changed the rules this time. now all candidates can be inside polling stations, but they cannot do anything that will be seen as canvassing.

  If they are contending parties, they should be allowed in the polling station to see that everything is in order. They are the best inspectors to check on each other.

  Candidates cannot canvass or loiter in the polling station. They can go there for official business: to vote for themselves or talk to the polling agents working for them.
