Oh what saved the night was the Returning Officer, Yam Ah Mee. He walked up to the rostrum 23 times in the same posture, same expression and same tone. "Pursuant to Section 49, Paragraph A......" hehehe. He's my hero.
The Returning Officer is retarded, he can't even pronounce SOLIDARITY, he said something like soli-leh-lity.
Then another time he fumbled, he read 111,000 as eleven thousand, paused for a very long time, then re-read it as one hundred eleven thousand.

One of the reasons aljunied switched camps was due to MM lees threat, you can't deny that pissed some people off, including GY, because GY tried damaged control by indirect retaliation of MM Lee's threat in last remaining campaign days.

Anyway on a side note, I was pretty surprised that PM garnered a higher majority than the last time. Thought a lot would vent their anger on him but instead, he secured a higher mandate! lol. Looks like singaporeans of AMK GRC have decided that he's a popular PM after all.

I think the absorbed YCK SMC into the GRC helped him.
YCK was helmed by SHT which could have gotten him some sympathy votes from that former SMC.
Plus he did say sorry to tug at the heartstrings of those soft hearted Singaporeans.
