JAKATA, Indonesia /PRNewswire/ -- Senior business and finance leaders in Indonesia can now fast track to become a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and earn the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation, through the CIMA CFO Programme established by CIMA.
Under the CFO Programme, candidates will need to sit for only one exam of the CIMA professional qualification, that is, the Strategic Case Study. To be eligible for the programme, candidates must have at least 10 years of relevant work experience in finance and business functions in a renowned organisation in Indonesia and must currently be in a leadership role. All applications for the CFO Programme must be received by 28 August 2015. Training for the CIMA exam will be provided by Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH), CIMA's Global Learning Partner in Indonesia.
The CGMA designation is conferred by CIMA, the world's largest professional body of management accountants, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). There are now 150,000 CGMAs worldwide with business leaders recognising the unique skills and insights provided by CGMAs which are essential for business success. As the finance function is moving towards business partnering, finance professionals need the skills to use financial and non-financial information, qualitative and predictive information to guide critical business decisions and drive strong performance, and as CGMAs, they will have the skills to do so.
Michael Yii, CIMA's Country Manager for Indonesia said, 'This is a great opportunity for business and finance leaders to join an international accounting body whose members' skills in finance and business are much sought after by leading employers around the world. The CGMA Brand Index Survey 2014 showed that 87% of organisations employing CGMAs are happy to pay a premium for doing so. With our footprint in the US via our joint venture with AICPA, we offer a truly global professional qualification and great career prospects for CGMAs.'
UPH will be organising an information session on the CFO Programme on 12 August 2015 at the UPH Executive Education Centre, and all are welcome.
