SHANGHAI /PRNewswire/ -- Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the world's largest and most dynamic hotel groups, today announced at the China Hotel Investment Conference (CHIC), plans to triple its number of hotels to over 50 in the next four years.

Carlson Rezidor plans to increase its presence in China in top-tier cities, strengthen its focus on development opportunities in emerging markets and introduce two new brands, Quorvus Collection, a curated set of luxury hotels and Radisson Red, an upscale lifestyle select brand that appeals to the millennial minded traveler.

With Radisson Red, the group is well positioned to capture the Chinese millennial traveler aged 25 - 34 which will make up more than a third of Chinese tourists by 2019.[1] Carlson Rezidor signed the first hotel for the brand in late 2014 -- Radisson Red Shenyang Hunnan, which is scheduled to open in 2016.
In addition, Carlson Rezidor is proud to introduce the Park Inn® by Radisson brand to China, with the signing of the 200-room Park Inn by Radisson Libo in the Guizhou province. The hotel is located at the entrance of Xiqikong National Park, close to the Daqikong karst site, which is part of the famous South China Karst UNESCO World Heritage site. Park Inn by Radisson Libo will be a newly constructed hotel and is owned by Libo Scenic Investment Co Ltd. The hotel is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2016.
