24,000 delegates attended, SGD 213,410 raised for charity
SINGAPORE, May 24, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Catering to the increasingly health-conscious Asian consumers, Herbalife has achieved significant success in the region with an ever-expanding network of independent distributors. This is reflected by the growing popularity of the Herbalife Asia Pacific 'Extravaganza', a gathering of a record 24,000 of its independent distributors from across Asia Pacific to discuss the latest nutrition trends, product training and business-building initiatives at the Singapore EXPO. This weekend's event saw an increase of 41%* in the number of delegates since 2010, demonstrating the huge rise in interest around affordable nutrition supplements that help with the weight management and the fitness needs of Asian consumers.

The Herbalife Extravaganza 2012 was a major milestone for the local MICE industry inSingapore. Occupying 400,000 sqft of space at Singapore EXPO Convention & Exhibition Centre and all the rooms at its new convention wing, MAX Atria, the event required careful logistical planning and impeccable execution.

As part of Herbalife's commitment to help improve the lives of vulnerable children through its Casa Herbalife programs, the Extravaganza also helped raise funds for its 16 Casa Herbalife programs in the region. Combining this with the efforts by local distributors at Herbalife Singapore's 9th anniversary recently, a total of SGD 213,410 was raised and will be donated to the Singapore Children's Society and other charities throughout the region.
