There are many non-clinical and clinical majors in medical school that an engineering or science student can consider. These may be M.S. or Ph.D. programs in the US, Canada and UK. During this session, Dr. Xu will explore with us the majors that you can consider applying to in med school.
Dr. Xu is a post-doctoral fellow at Montreal General Hospital Research Institute, Canada, and an M.D. from the Capital University of Medical Sciences in Beijing. He obtained his Ph.D. in Neuropathology at McGill University, Canada.

Who's Dr. Charlie C. Xu?
Dr. Xu has years of experience in medical practice and research in the U.S., Canada and China. Upon completing his residency training at the World Health Organization (WHO) Center for Research & Training in Neuroscience in Beijing, Dr. Xu was granted Jeanne Timmins Scholarship, a prestigious fellowship by Montreal Neurological Institute, and started his graduate study and research career in Canada and US.
Dr. Xu has also received numerous awards for his contributions in research on Alzheimer's disease, and has been a guest speaker at numerous conferences. Recently Dr. Xu has been invited by China State Administration of Traditional Medicine, China Healthcare Science and Technology Society, and State FDA (Shanghai) to give talks on US regulations on drugs and dietary supplements to assist Chinese manufacturers to enter the US market.
