B.A in Econs or B.A. Hons in History?

  Hi, I'm a 1st year NUS student. Is a general 3 year degree in Economics worth more in the current job market than a second upper/lower in a non-business related major like History, Political Science or Philosophy? What are the differences in career prospects and advancment, and for private sector or Civil Service? What is the market like now for econs graduates?

  all are pure disciplines....with econs as often than not a safe route to any business sectors...esp. banking

  if u r a rich man's son...any discipline is fine...even philosophy...

  Arts degree always better to get honours, esp 2nd lower and above.

  third class.... well, its really up to you.
