NUS ranks third among top universities in Asia

SINGAPORE: The National University of Singapore (NUS) has been ranked third among leading universities in Asia in the latest Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Asian University Rankings (AUR).
NUS President Professor Tan Chorh Chuan said: "We are pleased that NUS is recognised as one of the leading universities in Asia. To be consistently placed amongst the leading universities in the region and the world is testament to the significant contributions made by NUS faculty and researchers towards a high quality global education and cutting-edge research."
Commenting on the growing prominence of Asian universities, Professor Tan said: "The dramatic growth and vibrancy of Asia is attracting top students and scholars from around the world. The influx of global talents will further accelerate the stature and the standing of Asian universities."
Singapore's Nanyang Technological University was ranked 18th.
At the top is the University of Hong Kong, followed by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).
Ranked fourth is the Chinese University of Hong Kong, followed by the University of Tokyo, Seoul National University, Osaka University and Kyoto University.- CNA/de

How about yangon, and mandalay university? I see alot of job applicants in singapore from these 2 unis. Mainly master degree and double degree holders.
Out of 10 resumes sent in, I count like only 1 to 3 from NUS/NTU, the rest are from mandalay and yangon unis.

HongKong Universities top for 3 years. So many HKG universities in top 50. No wonder some of my frz wanted to go HKG study. Singapore's NUS climb from 9th to 3rd. NUS is the only Universities able to put on some competition.

You must be one of the many many deluded local grads.Outside of Singapore, where its peasants and farmers from NUS or NTU or SMU are brainwashed by the government and state media into believing they are as good as "Stanford" or "MIT" undergrads because of their stupid little "tie-ups" in which the govt spends lots of Taxpayer's $$$ to whore themselves to top prestigious universities for "tie-ups" which are nothing more than hollow ffuckfests where the local farmer unis' assholes get fucked deep deep by top unis, nobody has heard of our three farmer universities.
Even funnier and more loserly are the local grads who attend farmer unis on sponsorship and call themselves "scholars". Or the local farmers, local grads who attend an overseas universities for a short 1 year master's and call themselves "scholars". What a sad bunch of farmer losers so deluded their heads are stuck in their assholes. Here's what I wanna tell these deluded local grads aka farmers on sponsorship right here and right now. *loudspeaker* You are a Frigging Farmer. Farmer = ALL local poly and university grad, including the farmers who go do an overseas measly master's but attended a LOCAL FARMER uni for their UNDERGRAD.
Local unis are such shitholes that even the government recognises this fact and hence sends the country's top brains overseas on scholarships.
That's why local university grads are called Farmers in the civil service, stat boards and armed forces.
