So which is a better choice between NTU and NUS for mechanical engineering? Why?
Heard NTU somewhat better for the specified course.
From what I know:
NUS = more recognised university = more prestigious = high difficulty in exams = harder to get first class honours = more theory-based education = suits JC students
NTU = less well-known = easier exams = easier to get that degree = more practical-based education = suits poly students
Harder to score in NUS I think. But generally differences are trivial. Either use distance from home to decide or flip coin, also can.

I planning to stay at hostel/hallroom. I guess to make life easier, might as well go NTUÂ even though NUS may have a better brand name.
I tell u what. Both also not that recogisnised. I go overseas to US. I tell them NUS. They ask me is it a zoo a not. si ang mo.
Go overseas to UK to get a degree better. No money ask from Mendaki or Hokkien asscioation or SAF(Dun need me to teach u right)

I think when they meant recognised, as in recognised by the local companies & MNCs in singapore.
And why go UK for the degree sia?!?! What's the 'better' part of it?!
