Not true about everyone passing QET.
I know of a few friends who did not pass the QET and had to go for lessons in the module NK1001 or something like that for one semester. However usually nobody cannot clear that module after the sem.

hmmm if you do not pass the QET, u got to take wat we call ECS (English Communication Skills).
For Arts students, if u cannot make it, u got to take EA 1101. There are altogether 3 ECS modules, EA 1101, EA 2101 and EA 3102. u must get at least a B+ in order to be exempted from taking the remaining 2 modules.
However if you still cant make it to B+ for EA 1101 (just like me
), den you got to continue taking higher level till you got at least a B+. You don have to repeat the EA 1101 module.
As for non-Arts students, all they need to get for EA 1101 is a PASS, NOT A B+ in order to be exempted from higher ECS modules.
So unfair right fellow FASS students? : -

EG: FASS names it EA 1101. And accordingly to Light, i believe she is from BizAD, so i guess BizAd names it NK 1101.
And see wat i mean? Both Light and Sparkle who are from BizAd, it seems that no one cannot pass it after taking NK 1101. Which means, non-Arts students will need to pass it only, not a B+. -

yeah, it is the subsequent english module that no one seems to have failed...not the QET. i got mixed up.

In bizad, we only have one English module to clear if you can't pass QET. No higher level modules. There is a level 2 module (assuming that it hasn't been changed, coz i think some changes have been made to the modules for freshmen this year) called Business Communication, but that is compulsory for everybody, whether or not you pass QET.
yoohoo: maybe arts want to maintain a high standard mah, that's why you all have 3 modules to clear! -
ya, got 3 modules here. But i must say it again, one has to take higher level only if one does not obtain B+ and above grade.
If one obtains B+ and above grade for EA1101 in arts, den also no need to take anymore. hope we not confusing GYM?? -

my wed from 8am to 4pm got 4 lectures wif no break.. can bring food into lecture? -
hmmmm.....can bring in food, no problem~! As long as it does not attract other's nose and everyone ends up looking u as though u are an alien, it should be fine!
An alternative is....
U can simply enjoy your lunch in canteen and juz be late loh! Anyway there is always someone who will be late for lecture and also, there is always a back door for u to enter if u are shy to enter from the front -

i dono leh. my frenz in 1st yr told me still at B+ leh. They did not change it to A-. I not sure also....
