NUS QET if fail then what are the downsides ah?

  if fail the QET right, then other than taking english modules will there be any other disadvantages? like nt being able to sign up for SEP or other stuff?

  - Take an extra English module for literally zero modular credits (but you still need to pass in order to graduate)

  - Several hours per week wasted (Opportunity cost of that can be high, trust me).

  Otherwise, no other downsides.

  i heard my friend saying that u cant apply for exchange program or scholarships if u dont pass =( is it true?

  Hmm? I've never heard of not being able to do all that because of failing the QET.
