I am sorry ..typo error...I mean besides Sigmund Freud and John B.Watson..which other psyhchologist.....do u all study....or which textbooks do U all use? -
Oh the major theorists like Skinner, Bandura, Piaget (how can we forget him), Rogers... and the cognitive theorists but I can't remember exactly.
As for books, which ones? Personality / Developmental / Abnormal / Neuro / Social ?
Or just the all-compassing ones?

NUS Psych is very theory based. Hardly any field or experimental work.
When I graduated the system was as such. I do not know as of now -
I am currently doing a research project for my final year. Did one small scale research back in year 2. I wouldn't say the practice and the exposure is adequate.
There is a gradual shift towards more field studies rather than just memorising of theories, I believe.

I wonder what research are u doing....cos I have already did an analysis on some research as my first yr projects..and most of the good psychologists..I know are from Caanda..US..Germany...
Well...Skinner...yeah....and I dunno what theories do the students in SG learn but...I wonder...if u alll have done any case studies and on hands jobs to ppl? -

I don't know what you mean, but we do have different modules like social, abnormal, community, personality.....etc...for different areas, we learn about diff psychology lor. We do not have a choice to choose which area we want to major in though, it is all a psychology major, it is up to the individual to choose modules to suit his/her interest.
I think there are modules that definitely have more field work than others. Up to you to choose these.
