printing and binding theses and other sucky stuff

hate it hate it hate it!!!
hate the fact tat we are forced to print and bind/hardbind the drafts and final copies of our theses using OUR OWN MONEY!, which end up on the shelves of nus labs, libraries and profs anywayz.
on top of this our sups are the ones who need the data anywayz, most of us are already doing their work for them, researching stuff for them to publish/present, writing their papers and doing their slides for them even.
other than this, during the exam period, most of the classrooms are locked, and the students are forced to use the benches outside in the heat for revision. talk abt a world class university, save money on aircon thru this kind of cheapo means, dare to use the excuse of "protecting equipment" even. they usually leave the classrooms unattended during term time anywayz.
seems like NUS departments and lecturers can have their cake and eat it too.

Printing and binding of theses are all done by the students themselves, be it in Singapore, UK, US, Australia etc.
I just got my theses printed and binded as well, just take it as spending this money to get out of university, you might feel better.

haiz tat was long ago..hehe.. anywayz, being practised the world over doesnt make this rite, i still dont agree with students spending their own money to print and bind theses. since a soft copy is possible, why not just send our sups soft copies, and if they are so interested they can print and keep for themselves.
