can't be lor.. the noises can be heard several times in a day, for eg. at 12 am then 4am. so u telling me that the person ate breakfast so many times a day?

I have this noise that resonates through my flat, some "tok tok tok" noise as if someone is hitting a wooden fish with his wooden stick. It happened usually in the afternoons
Then one day, it started happening at 1am, the sort of tok tok sound that is very irritating and causes you not being able to sleep. Determined to check out the root cause, I went to various parts of my flat and open the windows to hear from outside.
I finally determined the sound coming from the flat upstairs.
The next natural thing to do was to call the police and have them inform the neighbour that it's not appropriate to do such stuff at night.
From then on, no more "tok tok" sound in the middle of night.
Sometimes, it's just inconsiderate neighbours.

I suspect they were preparing food in the middle of the night. The sound seemed to be emitting from the kitchen.
As to why they are preparing the food in the middle of the night, I think only the police that night will know :)
Point is, problem is solved. I don't know, don't care, what they were doing, just that they STOPPED what they were doing in the middle of the night.

I usually listen before I sleep... sometimes I sleep first, then I forget to switch it off... then let it play all through the night... haha....

ya last time i also listened to music until i fell asleep. maybe the songs were too boring or too slow.

think almost everyone living in hdb encounters these problems...
a friend said tht the "good friends" were just visiting...like the kids playing marbles in the middle of the night..to them is in the day?
another friend said that because hdb blocks were stacked on top of each other..and so they have this spacing in between every level(don't know how true) so at night when these concrete start to contract, they make these noises....

yeah. heard abt the kids playing marbles thingy too.
also heard of the contracting pipes that may cause the marbles sound.
but i still dunno which one is the best explanation for the noises.
